Southern Junction is an energetic, optimistic organisation that is committed to dynamically responding to the changing needs of marginalised families, and disadvantaged groups and individuals in the Southern Suburbs of Adelaide. This commitment leads us to become involved in a wide range of social endeavors which are intended to alleviate poverty and homelessness and overcome barriers to social participation.

People often come Southern Junction at a point of crisis because they know that we understand how complex and challenging life can be. We recognise that many people just need a bit of help to move through difficult circumstances, so our approach is to identify and build upon the strengths of individuals so that they can make positive choices for their future and regain control of their lives.

Our experience tells us that people can achieve great things when we apply our selves to resolving issues and finding a way forward. For this reason, wherever possible, we try to strengthen the links between people, so that community members can encourage and support each other.

You may be interested in volunteering, seeking employment with us or perhaps financially supporting our work with families.

Remember, ‘The optimism of the action far outweighs the pessimism of the thought.’

Please contact us if you wish to know more about what we do or how you can become involved.

Best wishes,
