Nexus Program

The Nexus Program (NP) is an inter-agency early intervention crime prevention strategy that will address the emerging criminal patterns of behaviours of known recidivist children and young people in the outer southern suburbs of Adelaide. Southern Junction’s Nexus Program will be focused upon changing the attitudes and behaviours of children and young people in context of their family, other key relationships and life circumstances. The flexibility of the Nexus model will enable rapid but well-coordinated response to critical events such as police apprehensions, Court Cautions and exclusion from school, which serve to highlight the need for targeted intervention and intensive family support.
